Asst. Professor Travis Hicks received the Robert L. Sigmon Service-Learning Award

Asst. Professor Dr. Amanda Gale was IIDA Educator of the Year and “Educator of the Day” at the ASID National Student Summit and passed the WELL Accredited Professional Exam – refereed article published in the Journal of City, Culture, and Architecture, and had 4 refereed presentations that were published in conference proceedings of the annual meeting of IDEC (n=3) and the South Region of IDEC (n=1). In addition, Amanda led a refereed panel discussion at the 2015 IDEC South Region Conference that received the “Outstanding Panel Award.” She applied for and received a $5000 New Faculty Grant at UNCG and is a reviewer of manuscripts for The Journal of Interior Design and conference presentations at IDEC and the USGBC.

Professor Dr. Anna Marshall-Baker is an invited Subject Matter Expert for Green Advantage® and published (with co-authors) “Creating an Environmentally Sustainable Neonatal Intensive Care Unit”

Visiting Associate Professor Dr. Maruja Torres-Antonini received a Global Engagement Course Development Award and was selected as a Site Visitor for the Council of Interior Design Accreditation and “Art to Space” project was accepted into the 2016 IDEC Innovative Teaching Ideas manual

Professor Jo Leimenstoll received a $180,000 grant award from the NC Department of Commerce for the NC Main Street Program
