Second Year Students Work with Pre-K Students

Posted on March 7, 2017

Nine second year IARc students and Professor Tommy Lambeth have partnered with Rankin Elementary School in Greensboro, NC to teach Pre-K students about buildings. The month-long student-assisted lessons teach sixty Pre-K students alongside four Rankin Elementary teachers in four separate classrooms. Second year students have completed lesson plans that range from building Eiffel Tower models to constructing simple buildings from blocks. At the end of the month, IARc students will prepare a final activity for all Pre-K students to wrap up their learning of how shapes affect buildings.
