Lakiesha Nicole Stanley born and raised in North Carolina is an Interior Designer with 6 years of experience. Lakiesha is an alumnus of North Carolina A & T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Lakiesha comes with a unique background working as a trauma technician in a level two trauma center for over 6 years. Lakiesha brings her passion and background as an ER technician to the world of design. Her attention to detail, quick ability to adapt to unusual situations, positive attitude, bubbly personality, and passion for learning has elevated her design vision and projects. Lakiesha started her career in interior design at G70 Design, Honolulu Hawaii. Lakiesha has achieved the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Ho’ohuli Emerging Professional Award 2019, and the Serve Award for Ho’okupu Center. Lakiesha was the Chapter President for the Hawaii Pacific Chapter of IIDA in 2019 and is the current past president for 2020. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
In Lakiesha’s spare time she is an entrepreneur, owning LW Designs, and LWS Boutique. She is a master maker in graphics, jewelry, and event-scapes. She brings her passion for interior design through all aspects of creation. Lakiesha is passionate about diversity and culture, and working on ways to transcend black design through interiors. LW Designs has collaborated with brands to create Black Lives Matter textile patterns, and all proceeds benefit the BLM organization. Lakiesha currently is working on a curriculum designed to advance cultural exploration through interior design through universities.
