E-light is intended for interior design and architecture education and professional community. The interactive interface will allow one to explore the use of lighting design software for both daylighting and electric lighting through three main modules: lighting concepts, software concepts, and lighting application. The sections cross-reference each other.

One can navigate through these modules independently or through the lighting design process, which leads to the modules based on the different stages in the lighting design process. This interface references a number of authoritative resources. Excerpts from these are included in this resource. Due to the open-source nature of this learning module, users are directed to the individual references for further information.
