During the summer, a group of students from UNCG, Greensboro College and NC A&T created a site-specific artwork for the Renaissance Plaza Parking Garage, which is located right next to LeBauer Park in Downtown Greensboro. The design team suggested the design of a façade that represented the strong sense of the community of Greensboro by incorporating the playfulness of LeBauer Park and the elegance of the Renaissance Plaza.

Inhalation and exhalation of breath overlaid on a honeycomb was the concept behind the design. The composition of hexagons in the façade represents the rule of the patterns to be seen as if they were breathing and LED light fixtures were used to enhance the hexagon pattern. Professor Felicia Dean supervised the work done by the three IARc students; Sookwang Lee, Limmi Powell, and Hope Tucker. The students worked on this project along with the other students for three months and came up with this astounding design.
