Interior Architecture

Seven IARc students had the opportunity to go to Boston to attend the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in November. Greenbuild is the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building, hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council. Accompanied by Professor Amanda Gale, the students spent three days learning about sustainability, attending educational sessions and discovering manufacturers and products on the expo floor.

This opportunity educated, motivated, and inspired UNCG IARc students to design and build for the future considering sustainability and wellbeing in the built environment. In addition, our students returned with a broader understanding of the different building certification rating systems and are well prepared to take the LEED Green Associate Exam.
