Designer, Four Over One Design

After graduating in 2018, Emily-Kate joined Four Over One Design in Durham, where she works as a Historic Preservation Designer and Consultant. At Four Over One she wears many hats. She designs additions for historic homes, submits tax credit applications, drafts construction drawings, and selects interior finishes and fixtures. She loves working with homeowners to renovate their homes in a conscientious way that maintains historic character while allowing them to be functional for 21st century living.

Throughout her time at UNC-G, Emily-Kate was a Main Street Fellow. She was also the 2016 Graduate Assistant for Field School on Portsmouth Island. These experiences, paired with her Historic Preservation coursework, and internships, prepared Emily-Kate to work in the field.
